Arapahoe County Ballot Issue 1A
Who Put This on the Ballot: Placed on the ballot by the Arapahoe County Commissioners.
How I Am Voting and Why: The conversation for Arapahoe County Budget shortfalls is neither new or a secret. Arapahoe County has never asked the voters to increase or remove limits on their budget since the mid 1990's. Commissioners have waited as long as they can to address this issue.

What the Commissioners are asking the voters to approve is for permission to use funds from taxes that are already approved, and there is no question that if this measure fails residents will see cuts to services that matter such as housing support, elder care resources, public safety, voting integrity, crime prosecution, veteran services, youth and adult protection services, weatherization programs, coroner services, open space maintenance, and family support programs.
The County has created a website here: https://acbudget.com/. They are responsible for human services that the cities are not accountable for. These services do touch you if you're an Arapahoe County resident. If you want to talk in depth about this with me, call me!
