Proposition 128

Who Put This on the Ballot: Placed on ballot by citizen initiative.

How I Am Voting and Why: Why I am voting no is because I am actively engaged with the issue of recidivism and rehabilitation in our prisons. I trust our parole boards to operate with integrity and keep people in prisons when appropriate. Setting statutory limits through ballot measure completely invalidates thoughtful, in-depth work of the Legislature as well as experts in the corrections field.
